THE ATTACK ON PEARL HARBOR SILVER COIN OBVERSE DESIGN
The obverse features the Lone Sailor statue located at Pearl Harbor, constructed using steel from the Arizona shipwreck. The Lone Sailor is an iconic symbol of the United States Navy Memorial’s mission to “Honor, Recognize, and Celebrate the men and women of the Sea Services, past, present, and future.”
Inscriptions include “CHARLES III,” which is paired with a miniature device King Charles III's official portrait, “COOK ISLANDS” to denote the coin’s nation of issue, “1 OZ .9999 AG” expressing the coin’s weight and purity, “1 DOLLAR,” the coin’s monetary denomination (Cook Island Dollars), "THE LONE SAILOR,” and “U.S. NAVY MEMORIAL.”
