US Mint’s Philip Diehl Discusses the New Quarters

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In live interview in Today New York Studio; US Mint's Philip Diehl says new quarters with designs from every state on the tail side will be released every 10 weeks starting with the quarter commemorating the state of Delaware. Close up on large quarter seen. Diehl says each state selected the design for the tail side of the quarter. Graphic quarters with supers “Pennsylvania; New Jersey” seen. Diehl says the US Mint will make a profit of twenty cents for every quarter. Close up on large designs for the states of Connecticut and Georgia seen. Diehl says the quarters with state designs will be released in the order in which the state joined the Union. Diehl says there will be a great demand for the quarters from collectors. Lauer says 750 million quarters is not a lot when you have to do laundry and Couric and others off camera laugh. Diehl says he only recently became a coin collector.
