Lowest Mintages in the History of the American Eagle Program
The Burnished Gold American Eagles with “W” Mintmark offers the absolute lowest mintages of any coin in the entire history of the Gold American Eagle program. These uniquely burnished “W” mintmark coins undergo a unique minting process where specially burnished blanks are hand-fed into the coining press one at a time to create an exceptional matte-like finish—setting them apart from regular bullion strike coins. Featuring one of the most iconic designs in the history of American coinage, each coin bears the famous “W” mintmark of the world-famous West Point Mint Facility.
Guaranteed by the U.S. Government
Authorized legal tender by the U.S. Congress, the Burnished Gold American Eagle Coin with “W” Mintmark is made from solid gold mined here in America and guaranteed by the U.S. government for its gold content, weight and purity. In addition to the 1 oz. “W” gold coin, fractional sizes (1/10 oz., 1/4 oz., and 1/2 oz.) were produced in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Starting in 2011 after an astonishing two-year suspension in production due to unprecedented gold demand, the U.S. Mint only produced the “W” in the 1 oz. size with lower mintages than ever before. Coin years subject to availability.
Certified by PCGS in Only the Highest Grades
All certified coins are graded by the industry-leading, third-party grading service, PCGS, on a scale from 1 to 70. A grade of 70 certifies a flawless condition. Nearly all modern certified coins sold by U.S. Money Reserve are graded a museum-quality 70 or near-perfect 69. To preserve its stunning condition, each coin is individually and sonically sealed in its original clear tamper-proof slab, and assigned a unique serial number for authentication.
