On December 7, 1941, 353 Japanese aircraft attacked the U.S. Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The attack lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes and took the lives of 2,403 U.S. personnel, including 68 civilians. The following day, Congress declared war against Japan, and the United States of America officially entered World War II.

Designed in the United States, these “Attack on Pearl Harbor” coins commemorate one of the most significant events in our nation's history. Presented in .9999 pure (24-karat) gold, these coins feature three distinct levels of relief, each with its own finish: proof, frosted, or polished. Their stunning imagery have been rendered in exquisite detail thanks to CIT’s microminting technology and Mayer Mint's world-class striking facility.

This set includes three coins: 1 oz. gold, 1/4 oz. gold, and 1/10 oz. gold. All three coins are government-issued official legal tender backed for their gold weight, content, and purity.† In addition, all three coins are graded near-perfect PR-69 or flawless museum-quality PR-70 by PCGS and designated "First Day of Issue," certifying that these coins were purchased and received by PCGS for grading and certification within 24 hours of their release.
