Whenever I speak with the veterans who work here at U.S. Money Reserve, I’m filled with gratitude. To hear someone talk repeatedly about placing their life in danger or being injured in combat, only to turn around and do it all over again, is more humbling than I can put into words. We can say “thank you” until our throats run dry, but we’ll never be able to cover our debt to our nation’s veterans.
When I think of a veteran, I think of someone who has afforded us our most precious opportunities in life. And that’s something I never want to take for granted.
Those opportunities are never taken for granted by myself, our staff, or our company as a whole. It’s why we continue to be a longstanding supporter of the U.S. Navy Memorial, helping fund the construction of a Lone Sailor statue in Honolulu, Hawaii, and why we founded Wings of Gratitude, a program through which anyone can submit cards or letters of thanks that are then sent to active military service members and veterans.
This Saturday, November 11, 2023, I encourage you to make your own small sacrifice by taking a few minutes out of your day to consider the many freedoms and opportunities we enjoy because of the sacrifice of our nation’s veterans. Then take another few minutes and reach out to personally thank the veterans in your life.
There will never be enough words to properly say “thank you” to our veterans, but it’s a good place to start.
