Phillip Diehl: We've been warned by the 2007-2008 financial crisis that, you know, it can happen here and we were very fortunate that it was not much worse. My own opinion is that we just delayed the day of reckoning. Dr. Chittenden: From a long-term perspective, historically at least, we can look at that gold's been a pretty good investment. If you look at the last ten years gold's outperformed the stock market, it's outperformed the bond market, it's done pretty well.
