The intricate detail of these unique and magnificent coins captures the moment of attack beginning at 7:48 a.m.Hawaiian Time. The coin's reverse shows Japanese fighter and torpedo planes, as the first of two waves attack three of the eight U.S. Navy battleships. In all, more than 15 U.S. naval ships and 188 U.S. aircraft were destroyed and 2,403 American military and civilians were killed, while 1,178 others were wounded.

The obverse brings together our allies the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Australia with the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
